NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading, Understanding and Numeracy)
a programme launched by the Ministry of Education aims at consolidating foundational learning in students up to grade 3. KVS has taken effective measures in equipping teachers with necessary teaching learning material, assessment worksheets, etc. to help make learning joyful and all inclusive, thereby strengthening foundational competence amongst children in the age bracket of 3 to 9 years.
The vidyalaya provides excellent environment to encourage students to develop reading fluency and numericals skills through play way method. Activities are conducted with the help of letter cutouts , wooden blocks, cvc family words, oral reading fluency is achieved which helps children to read with comprehension with the help of reading cards and graded readers. As a constant motivation Lakshyas are displayed at prominent places. At vidyalaya level we have regular monthly meeting to discuss innovative strategies and plan class wise activities according to the syllabus. We also conduct Cluster level NIPUN meeting every quarter which enables us to exchange ideas and resolve issues to achieve NIPUN goals.
